Pizza Emulators — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data apps published by Pizza Emulators ("App", "we", "us") process when you use them, and how. It applies to all Pizza Emulators apps (including Pizza Boy AIO, Pizza Boy A, Pizza Boy C, Pizza Boy SC, Pizza Boy Double Slice, and any other emulator app we publish), on all platforms where they are distributed (iOS and Android). Not every app includes every feature described below (e.g. RetroAchievements, Online Multiplayer, or Google Drive cloud saves) — sections that describe an optional feature only apply if the specific app you're using offers it.
Summary: Our apps are designed to work almost entirely on your device. We do not operate any backend server that stores your ROM library, save files, gameplay, or account data. The few features that do talk to a server either go directly to a third party you explicitly opt into (RetroAchievements, or Google Drive for cloud saves — in both cases data flows between your device and their servers, never through ours), pass through a server we operate that pairs two players and then relays their gameplay inputs between them (Online Multiplayer), or are handled entirely by the app store platform you installed the App from (purchases and subscriptions).
1. Data We Do Not Collect
We have no user account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK. The App does not track you across other apps or websites, does not use cookies, web beacons, or any other tracking mechanism, and does not build an advertising profile of you (see the App's privacy label/data safety section on the App Store or Google Play Store for the platform you installed it from).
2. Data Stored Only On Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:
- Your ROM library index (file names, paths/references, detected platform, CRC32 checksums used to identify games against a bundled offline database);
- Save states, save files, cheats, and per-game/per-platform settings and layouts;
- App preferences (appearance, controls, backups you create).
Uninstalling the App deletes this data, except for anything you separately saved elsewhere
(e.g. cloud storage files you chose, or a backup .zip you exported and shared
yourself).
If you keep your ROM files in a cloud storage provider integrated with your device's file system, the App reads standard OS file-provider status APIs (e.g. whether a file is downloaded) to know when a file is ready to use. This does not give us any access to your cloud storage account or its contents beyond the files you explicitly pick within the App.
3. Google Drive Cloud Saves & Google Sign-In (Optional, where offered)
If the App you're using includes a Google Drive cloud save feature and you choose to enable it by signing in with your Google account, the App uses Google APIs as follows. To comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, we declare:
- Data accessed: your basic Google profile information (email address and basic profile info, used to identify which account is signed in) and the App's own app-specific folder in your Google Drive (used to store your cloud saves).
- Data usage: we use this data solely to provide the cloud save functionality — identifying your account for synchronization and letting you upload and download your game progress (save states and save files) directly to and from your own Google Drive account.
- Data storage and transfer: we do not store any of your Google user data on our own servers. All data accessed via Google APIs is processed locally on your device or transferred directly between your device and Google's servers. We have no access to your files or personal information once they are stored on your Google Drive.
- Data sharing: we do not sell, trade, or share your Google user data with any third parties.
- You can disable the feature and sign out at any time in Settings; no further data is accessed afterward. Files already stored in your Google Drive remain yours and can be deleted from your Drive at any time.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. RetroAchievements (Optional, where offered)
If the App you're using includes RetroAchievements integration and you choose to enable it and enter your RetroAchievements username and password in Settings:
- Your credentials are sent directly from your device to RetroAchievements' servers (retroachievements.org) over HTTPS to authenticate you and sync your achievement progress (including hardcore/encore/spectator mode status). We do not operate a server in this flow and never receive or see your RetroAchievements credentials.
- Your credentials are stored locally on your device to let you stay signed in between sessions.
- Achievement badge images are downloaded from RetroAchievements and cached on your device.
- This data is subject to RetroAchievements' own Privacy Policy (retroachievements.org/terms#privacy-policy). To delete data held by RetroAchievements, contact RetroAchievements directly or use their account settings.
- You can disable this feature at any time in Settings; no further data is sent afterward.
5. Online Multiplayer (Optional, where offered)
If the App you're using includes an Online Multiplayer feature and you use it:
- The App connects to a matchmaking/relay server we operate to pair you with another player. To find a compatible match, it exchanges your selected game's ROM checksum (CRC32) and, if applicable, your BIOS checksum, the name of the room you create or join, plus your device's IP address and port (required for any internet connection) with that server. Please don't include personal information in room names.
- Once two players are matched, the session is not peer-to-peer: all gameplay data (the controller inputs needed to keep both sessions in sync) is relayed through our server, which forwards it to the other player in real time. We do not inspect this traffic and do not store it — it is held only in memory for as long as it takes to forward it, and is discarded when the session ends.
- The server keeps technical connection logs — your IP address and port, the room name, and the ROM/BIOS checksums of the session — which we use solely to operate the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot connection problems (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service). These logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted, are never sold or shared with anyone, and are processed by us in Italy.
- We do not retain any gameplay content: controller inputs and anything exchanged during play are never stored or inspected.
- LAN multiplayer uses your local network directly between devices and does not involve any server.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions (where offered)
If the App you're using offers a PRO subscription, one-time purchase, or paid version, payments are handled entirely through the in-app purchase / billing system of the platform you installed the App from (Apple's App Store / StoreKit, or Google Play's Billing system). We do not receive or process your payment details (card numbers, account credentials, billing address) — the platform does. We only receive a signed entitlement confirming whether your purchase or subscription is currently active, which we use to unlock the corresponding features locally on your device. See Apple's or Google's own Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.
7. Device Permissions
Depending on the app and platform, the App may request the following permissions. Each is used only for the purpose described, and none of the resulting data ever leaves your device:
- Storage / Files: required to let you load your own legally owned ROM files and to save your game progress, backups, and settings locally.
- Camera (where offered): used only for specific in-app features (such as game-related picture functionality). Images are stored solely on your device's internal memory and are never uploaded or shared by the App.
- Microphone (where offered): some emulated consoles (such as the Nintendo DS) have a built-in microphone that certain games use as an input. If you grant this permission, the App feeds live audio from your device's microphone to the emulated game in real time, only while you are playing. Microphone audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere — it exists only in memory for the instant it takes to pass it to the emulated game.
You can deny or revoke any of these permissions in your device settings; the related feature simply won't work, and the rest of the App remains usable.
8. Diagnostic Logs (Only If You Choose To Send Them)
The App can generate a local diagnostic log file (app activity, errors, device/OS version) for troubleshooting. This log is never sent automatically. It is only shared if you explicitly tap "Send Log to Dev," which opens your device's own email app with the log file attached and our support address pre-filled — you review the email and choose whether to actually send it. We do not have access to this data unless you send it to us.
9. Data We Receive If You Contact Us
If you email us (e.g. via "Send Log to Dev," support requests, or app store reviews we respond to), we receive whatever information you choose to include (your email address, message content, and any attached logs) solely to respond to you and fix reported issues. We keep this only as long as needed to handle your request.
10. Third-Party Services Summary

11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. RetroAchievements, Apple, and Google have their own age requirements for account creation.
12. Your Rights
Because nearly all data stays on your device, you can access, export (via Backup, where offered), or delete most of it directly in the App or by uninstalling the App. For data held by RetroAchievements, Apple, or Google (including cloud saves in your Google Drive), contact them directly or use their account tools via the links above. If you are in the EU/UK/California or another jurisdiction with statutory privacy rights, you may also contact us at the address below with any request regarding data you've sent us directly (Section 9).
13. International Data Transfers
Data you send to RetroAchievements, Apple, or Google may be processed in countries other than your own, under their respective policies. Data you send directly to us (Section 9) is processed by us in Italy.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
